What Does Mercedes-EQ Mean?
The EQ part of the Mercedes-EQ name means it's an electric from Mercedes-Benz. The letters that come before Mercedes-EQ are the class level of the vehicle.
Current Mercedes-EQ Models
EQS by Mercedes-EQ
The new EQS by Mercedes-EQ model is a fully electric sports sedan based off the Mercedes-Benz S-Class models. The EQS by Mercedes-EQ models, however, offer increased performance thanks to the electric system. Two trim levels are offered: EQS450+ by Mercedes-EQ and EQS580 4MATIC by Mercedes-EQ. The new EQS450+ models use an electric motor mounted on the rear axle that exerts 329-horsepower and 406 pounds-feet of torque. Choosing the the EQS580 4MATIC model will offer an electric motor on both the front and rear axles, delivering 4MATIC all-wheel drive and a total system output of 516-horsepower and 611 pounds-feet of torque. All models use an adaptive air suspension and a rear-axle steering system.
All EQS by Mercedes-EQ models come with lithium-ion battery pack. It delivers 350 miles of range in the EQS450+ model and 340 miles in the EQS580 models. You can charge the battery from 10-100% in around 11 hours 15 minutes using a standard at home charger, or go from 10-80% in around 35 minutes using a DC Fast Charger.
EQE by Mercedes-EQ
The new EQE by Mercedes-EQ model is a fully electric luxury sedan that's based off the E-Class model, delivering spacious elegance inside and out and a commanding driving experience behind the wheel. Whether you're shopping for a sports car or a luxury sedan, you can enjoy the best of both worlds in every new EQE by Mercedes-EQ model, as well as impressive range, quick charging times, and an exciting performance on every trip around Grapevine.
The EQE model features two trim levels: EQE350+ by Mercedes-EQ and EQE500 by Mercedes-EQ. The EQE350+ models use a single electric motor on the rear axle to generate 288-horsepower and 391 pounds-feet of torque. EQE350+ by Mercedes-EQ models also achieve a 0-60 time of around 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 130 mph. Choosing the new EQE500 by Mercedes-EQ model will offer two electric motors, one on both the front and rear axle, producing 402-horsepower.
The EQE350+ models use a 90kWh battery pack with a driving range of more than 300 miles. You can charge 10-100% in around 9.5 hours using a standard 240-volt charger. With a DC fast charger, you can charge from 10-80% in around 31 minutes.
