Performance

Both the new Mercedes-Benz GLC and the Audi Q5 come equipped with a similar 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The Audi Q5 gets slightly more horsepower, but both vehicles deliver 273 pounds-feet of torque.
As you climb trim levels, however, the Mercedes-Benz GLC lineup offers more powerful optional engines. The new Mercedes-Benz GLC 43 comes equipped with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that delivers 385-horsepower. The comparable Audi Q5 55 TFSI model uses the same engine as the base model, but it's paired with a plug-in hybrid system, producing a combined 362-horsepower.
On the top tire Mercedes-Benz GLC 63, you'll get a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 469-horsepower. The Audi Q5 lineup doesn't offer a comparable engine, and you'll instead have to upgrade to the SQ5 which falls short with 349-horsepower.
The new Mercedes-Benz GLC base model comes with standard rear-wheel drive, giving you a sporty and engaging driving experience, while all-wheel drive is also available throughout the lineup. The Audi Q5 only offers all-wheel drive.

Interior
