Avondale Service Career Path
Technician Apprentice
The purpose of this position is to train to become a service technician, working in cooperation with the Team Leader and/or Trainer to learn the shop process and how to use available shop resources.
Line Technician
The Technician position is responsible for diagnosing and repairing client and dealership vehicles with integrity and ethics, and also maintaining a positive relationship with clients who return with unsatisfactory work in accordance with dealership policies and standards.
Trainer
The purpose of the Trainer position is to develop apprentices into fully functioning line technicians, while also performing all other duties of a line technician.
Diagnostic Specialist
The Lead Diagnostic Specialist responsible for quickly and intelligently diagnosing complex issues across a wide range of vehicles. This role involves supervising and instructing other technicians to ensure efficient and effective vehicle repairs. The position plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall efficiency of the service center and elevating client satisfaction by resolving challenging vehicle issues promptly and accurately.
Team Leader
The Team Leader is a line supervisor that has the direct responsibility for the overall production, quality control, and general behavior of their Production Team. They are also responsible for producing billable labor at a level determined by service management.
Shop Foreman
The Shop Foreman ensures the quality repair and servicing of client vehicles while maintaining high productivity within the shop.
Service Manager
The Service Manager directs and coordinates activities concerned with service and repair of client vehicles, acquisition of automotive equipment and operation and maintenance of automotive repair facilities through subordinate supervisors to maximize profitability, increase client satisfaction, and maintain factory-dealership relationships.
Service Director
The Service Director will manage, organize, supervise, and develop the Dealership Service Department to maximize profitability, increase client satisfaction, and maintain factory-dealership relationships.
